Limited Lifetime Warranty

We at Automic Gold strive to create durable and stunning fine jewelry. Everything we make is produced with sustainable materials, hand-crafted by our expert jewelers, thoroughly inspected before shipping, and is backed by a limited lifetime warranty that protects against manufacturer defects for items in our permanent collection. Manufacturer defect is defined as a flaw with the way your jewelry is produced. If your jewelry is delivered with manufacturer defects, we will repair it for free within three years of purchase. For repairs that are not considered manufacturer’s defects or for orders outside of the three-year window, we will repair your piece for a fee. Fees are dependent on the type of jewelry, the amount of damage, and whether you are missing parts or pieces. 

This warranty does not cover normal wear and tear (including but not limited to scratches, dents, misshapen ring bands, stretched chains, or any cracks, scratches, or discoloration to gemstones that occur from wear or exposure to chemicals or liquids). Gold is a very soft and delicate metal, and all parts of your jewelry (stones, settings, and metal) should be cared for properly. For more info check out our Jewelry Care Guide.

Most custom orders are protected from manufacturer defects under this warranty. Repairs, modifications, and resizing outside of the above-listed conditions will incur an additional fee. Please note: Our custom pieces are crafted to the individual customer's specifications and will be excluded from warranty if the customer chooses a design that contradicts our professional advice on durability (i.e., band thickness, soft or brittle gems, setting type, softer metal, etc.). All potential issues with a custom design will be discussed during consultations with the jeweler and will not be made without the customer's awareness and consent. If your chosen design is not covered under warranty, we will email you to let you know before your item is made.

This warranty does not cover discoloration, bending, or warping of sterling silver items. Sterling silver is a very soft metal that tarnishes easily; this is considered normal wear and tear. Because of the softness of the metal, this warranty also does not cover loss of diamonds and gemstones for sterling silver items, as the setting would be subject to bending and warping with time and daily activities. We recommend more durable metals for custom jewelry with gemstones and diamonds, such as 14k gold or platinum.

This warranty does not cover lost or stolen jewelry after you’ve successfully received it. 

If you didn’t receive your package because it was lost or stolen and you purchased Route package protection, please contact them for help. If you opted out of Route when placing your order, Automic Gold is not responsible for missing packages.

We recommend adding your valuable jewelry to homeowners' or renters' insurance to protect them against loss.

Third-party work on your jewelry voids all warranties. 

Resizing, Repolishing and Replating Services:

We offer highly affordable, fast, in-house care, maintenance, and repairs for all of our jewelry!

Automic Gold can resize or modify jewelry for a fee starting at $50. We advise against resizing rings more than 2 sizes up or down, but we can partially replace the band or remake the ring in this case.

Precious metal jewelry can lose its shine over time. Repolishing services start at $20, however fees will depend on the type of jewelry and amount of wear.

For an additional fee, we can replate any Automic Gold rhodium-plated jewelry to help you keep your pieces looking gorgeous!
