A jewelry polishing cloth can keep your jewelry looking shiny and extend the longevity of your piece. They’re useful for quickly wiping away dirt, shining up your metal, and even removing tarnish. But, all that dirt transfers to the cloth itself over time, and while they can last a really long time, the same cloth can’t be used indefinitely.
Are polishing cloths washable?
In general, most polishing cloths aren’t washable. Our Polishing cloths are microfiber with a polishing compound treatment, so washing isn’t recommended, as it will strip the chemicals and make it less effective in cleaning your jewelry.
If you must wash it, do so with a very small amount of mild soap. The more you wash it, the more the polishing compound will be removed, so it will eventually need to be replaced. If you need a new one, you can purchase a polishing cloth from us here.
