The Deets
When designing this engagement ring our founder AL wanted to create a piece that was secure and comfortable while still showcasing the stunning reclaimed natural diamond. The most secure setting for a stone is a bezel setting but it completely surrounds the sides of the stone and doesn’t let light through. A four-prong setting leaves the most room for light but is less secure, if one prong bends or catches the stone becomes loose.
So AL designed the petal setting. This setting consists of 16 prongs that create 8 open petals which each have a cutout in the middle that allows light to come through. The solitaire diamond is set low with a cutout on the bottom of the setting so it's comfortable to wear. The solid 14k gold band is tapered to prevent the ring from twisting on your finger and create a delicate look.
